Best solutions and innovation to be recognised

London, 2 September 2010 – FileMaker International today launched its fourth annual CubeAwards 2010 – FileMaker Developers of Excellence competition, in partnership with IT PRO. Developers from the UK and beyond are invited to submit entries that demonstrate innovative uses of FileMaker technology.

Designed to identify and celebrate the excellent and innovative work of FileMaker developers, the awards will evaluate and reward entries on user experience, functionality and total value to the organisation. Open to developers of solutions across both private and public sectors, the scope of this year’s awards has been significantly increased with several new markets now eligible for entry, including Ireland, South Africa, Spain, Portugal and Iceland.

In keeping with previous years, the 2010 FileMaker Cube Awards will recognise the “Best public sector solution” and “Best private sector solution”, with the best solutions from these categories being entered into the “Winner of Winners” category.

Winners of the 2009 FileMaker Cube Awards were:

This year we’re opening the field up to all the markets in the FileMaker Northern Region and are really expecting the competition to heat up. I’ve seen some great uses of FileMaker technology over the years and I have no doubt that this year, especially with the recent release of FileMaker Go, our developers throughout the region will have some interesting solutions to throw into the mix.”

The submission deadline for entries to this year’s awards is 7th October 2010, with selected entrants invited to present their solution to the panel of Cube Award judges. Winners will be announced at the FileMaker Cube Awards ceremony, which this year takes place at the Royal College of Physicians on the morning of 16th November 2010.
